Elevator One is an expert in the area of freight elevators, having significant experience in cargo elevator construction maintenance and repair. Whether a low capacity freight lift or material lift, or a larger high capacity goods elevator, Elevator One has the team in place to offer the highest quality services and product. A freight lift elevator (a.k.a. freight elevator) falls under the B44 elevator code. They are constructed in fully contained elevator shaftways; they have solid cab ceilings (elevator technicians conduct maintenance on top of the freight elevator); and they typically have vertically parting elevator doors. Material lift elevators also fall under the B44 code. They typically have only a mesh ceiling and their doors are typically swing doors rather than vertically bi-parting. Material lifts typically operate at slower speeds and deal with lower capacities.

In order to properly construct, maintain or repair a freight elevator, elevator technicians need to have both experience and training. In addition to formal elevator training, the Elevator One team receives ongoing technical training through weekly night schools that we hold. We spend significant time teaching our technicians about the wide variety of cargo elevators, freight lifts, and freight lift elevators that they will encounter on the job. This includes in-depth study of the electrical system and elevator controller. On-going training also includes freight elevator and material lift doors, which are essential to the operation of the cargo elevators and freight lifts.
